Retold Stories of the South book, by The Duluth Historical Society

Retold Stories of the South is a fantastic book written by the caretakers of the Duluth Historical Society.  They've been keeping track of the history of Duluth, Georgia, as well as some of the other towns that were local to the area, and they've written this book to not only share the history of the local area, but also to provide the wonderful stories that all of the local residents should know about their town's history.  The book is available exclusively through the Duluth Historical society and can be purchased below.   Available for a Donation of $12, + Shipping & Handling, if needed

The Introduction Reads as Follows:
"After Duluth Historical Society has done  so much research on the forgotten historyof this area, we started seeing more and more of Duluth’s history overlapping into other small towns.  Some of them are no longer on the map in their original  names. Ocee and Sheltonville are now Shakerage. We decided to rename this book “Retold Stories of the South” to cover the many stories that happened all over this area of Georgia. This is a collection of short stories written by the people of this area. They are steeped in history and more colorful than time itself. Stories that are handed down through time and generations are repeated over and over, changing a little each time they are retold. Legends, truths, and folklore are the “Stories of the South”
